Hopewood Country House Wedding {Kristl + Chad}

These stunning wedding pictures are filled with personal touches and lovely-ness.

Kristl and Chad held their wedding at Hopewood Country House in Bowral and chose Milk & Honey Photography to capture their wedding.

Kristl wore a stunning wedding dress from Mariana Hardwick with a French lace bolero, while her bridesmaids wore floral silk dresses from Seduce.

Kristl’s grandfather personally delivered Kristl’s late grandmother’s prayer book to her.

Kristl rocked a pair of bold purple pumps by Gary Castles.

Kristl and her mother arranged all of the flowers at the reception and ceremony, plus took care of all the styling. Kristl explained, “This included table and seating signs, chatterboxes and a tree-of-well-wishes. We handmade the tags for the tree using vintage printed papers tied with twine or ribbon, guests could write their marriage advice or well wishes on the tags and tie them to the tree which was made out of tortured willow. It was great to read over the advice and messages after the wedding and we have kept them as a keepsakes.”

“It was intimate and an expression of ourselves – we didn’t follow a formula or tradition but instead did things our way. We chose to have a decadent desert buffet instead of a formal wedding cake. This was a big hit with our guests who still talk about it even now! We had bite size portions of bonoffi pies, lemon tarts, Turkish delight, tiramisu, rockyroad, French macaroons, crème brulee tarts, coconut macaroons as well as huge cheese and fruit platters” says Kristl.

Kristl’s advice, “Plan early and do lots of research. Blogs and magazines provide lots of inspiration, as well as help you learn from other people’s mistakes.”

Congratulations Kristl and Chad and thank you for sharing your stunning wedding pictures.

    Just wanted to say how beautifuk your wedding looked. I stumbled across this site by googling the Athena Mariana Hardwick gown and was so happy to see you had print bridesmaid dresses!!! My dress is from mariana Hardwick and very similar to the Athena and we have print dresses and a country theme. I have questioned the print dresses and they have really played on my mind but seeing your beautiful girls and the way it works is such an inspiration. I will walk down the aile in 6 weeks feeling more confident now, so thank you!
