Betsy Who?

Who is the fashion maven we named our company after? Well, there is no such person. Not that we know of, anyway.

Our story starts in Barbados. Betsywhite is actually a word that sprung from old Barbadian dialect. It refers to the song of the local black bird, which sounds a heckuva lot like "betsywhite."

Having grown up in the island nation, Gia Graham — company founder and brainchild — heard the sound every day, and it made her happy. As does fantastic design. And anything that's reasonably priced. It's a feel-good combination that serves as Betsywhite Stationery's raison d'être.

The company actually began in 2004 under the name Paper Dolls Design. At that time, Gia along with then business partner Angela Moland, created high-end custom invitations. In 2008, Gia took sole ownership of the company and now serves as Creative Director, working with a talented team of designers to create lovely stationery at attainable prices for customers worldwide.

Our design aesthetic is clean and simple and although our style leans towards the modern, it's never too stark. We believe in pretty paper and we love to design pretty things.
