Appy Couple App Makes Wedding Planning Easy 20.04.2012

Appy Couple

We have big fabulous news. Appy Couple is revolutionising how couples plan and organise their weddings by giving couples their own personal wedding app.

The Appy Couple app is one that I personally wish I had during my wedding planning process. Basically, Appy Couple makes it super duper easy to share everything about your wedding with your guests, from the engagement to the honeymoon and beyond.

Apply Couple is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch {Android coming soon}, and even includes a free coordinating wedding website.

The app includes the following features:

  • Real-time photo sharing
  • Private messaging to your wedding guests
  • Event details and mapping
  • RSVPs
  • Wedding countdown
  • Live photo stream on the day
  • Virtual champagne
  • And my personal favourite – Coordinating e-mail announcements to guests, friends and family

What’s more, Appy Couple has some seriously stunning designs, which allows you to match the app design to your wedding colour, style and décor. We personally love the vintage, contemporary, opulent and casual designs.

Here’s how it works:

  • Couples set up their app online
  • Guests download the app for free and then access your wedding with a wedding code

Best thing about this app is that it makes wedding communication totally instant because people take their smartphones everywhere. This means that guests can confirm directions on the way to the wedding, brides can share photos while they’re out shopping for different wedding items, last minute changes can be communicated fast, guests can get to know the wedding party ahead of time and even get involved in the excitement and planning with wedding polls.

In case you didn’t notice, we’re head over heels in love with Appy Couple. To try out the app for free, head over to appycouple.com, create an account and enter the following promo code: OSBSP1

Today we have the most unique creative shoot to share with you, which showcases gorgeous Moroccan wedding table décor.

This creative shoot took place on a rooftop in downtown Vancouver, with the help of event planner Le Soirees, event designer The Goods, and Vasia Photography.

The décor was full of wonderful bold colours, textures, fabrics and details. We definitely love the eclectic fell of this decor and hope it inspires some fun and risky brides.

Wedding Décor For The Bookworm 13.05.2011

Why not use books as part of your wedding decor, after all who doesn’t love a good book.

This wedding idea looks massively chic and is also affordable, just make sure to use books you already own or borrow them from friends and family. If your scared of the books getting damaged, purchase cheap secondhand books from thrift shops.

Here’s our favourite book wedding ideas to incorporate into your soiree, which will ensure maximum geek chic style. Stack vintage books on your drinks bar and place drink jugs on top, create centerpieces by stacking books and placing pretty flowers and candles on top, purchase book inspired wedding stationary, have your wedding cake made with a poem written on it, create bookmark wedding favors and adorable DIY notebook wedding favors.

This type of decor is great because it’s easy to style and offers big bang, for little bucks.
