Artemer Studio 19.01.2015

Wedding-Jewelry

Contemporary jewelry designer Tomer has really caught our attention with his latest collection of delicate jewelry.

The current Artemer Studio collection is full of exquisitely unique and dainty designs and includes pieces made from 14K and 18K gold with precious and semi precious stones.

Tomer initially opened his own studio in Tel Aviv, where he worked as an independent Metal-Smith and Jewelry Designer with the help of his beautiful partner Tanya. After they wed, they moved out of the big city to a little pastoral place near Jerusalem, where they currently work and live.

Here are a few of the pieces we currently adore from the spanking new range of wedding jewelry goodies.

Diamond in the Rough 22.08.2013

If you haven’t heard about Diamond in the Rough, we suggest you brace yourself, as you may start to hyperventilate with excitement over their super clever idea.

What was their idea you ask? They re-introduced the historical idea of using rough diamonds in fine jewellery and engagement rings.

We love that this company is redefining current perceptions of diamond jewellery and that this rediscovered idea has seriously taken off. Diamond in the Rough are now the world’s leading natural, rough diamond jewellery brand, which is sold all over the world and adored by celebrities.

We also love that they’ve developed a bridal collection including unique rough diamond engagement rings, coloured rough diamond engagement rings and wedding bands. Each piece is truly unique and the answer for any women that yearns to stand out from the crowd.

Dieu-de-Soleil

Here’s what the bride-to-be will love: When it comes to diamond selection, Diamond in the Rough only accept the best diamonds. They source the majority of their one-of-a-kind, conflict-free diamonds from South Africa, Russia and Australia. They also source an enormous amount of rough diamonds, but only accept one to three percent of the diamonds they evaluate, “We examine thousands of rough diamonds to find a handful that meet our standards without cutting or polishing. Although many diamonds can look beautiful once cut, they lack the intrinsic artistic integrity all ‘Diamond in the Rough’ stones possess.”

Once a diamond has been selected their jeweller and designers draw inspiration from the diamond itself, and carefully develop a design that will best showcase the natural beauty of that specific diamond. It doesn’t get more customized then that, does it?

As for the value of the diamond, we’re told, “Polished diamonds are valuable because the rough diamond was precious to begin with and, contrary to popular belief, cutting and polishing a diamond adds only a small fraction to its overall value. Because ‘Diamond in the Rough’ selects diamonds that are already naturally perfect, traditional processing is unnecessary which means not even a single ounce of their amazing appearance has to be sacrificed. Traditional processing takes away the original, unique characters of the natural raw diamond; keeping the original diamond is our goal and bringing the natural beauty of a diamond to life is ‘Diamond in the Rough’s’ mission!”

The bridal collection includes rough diamond engagement rings to suit any style, whether you’re looking for a classic design or a more edgy design. Here’s a few of our favourites.

James Allen 09.05.2013

James Allen is no stranger to One Stylish Bride. In fact, we love doing jamesallen reviews and it seems others do too.

James Allen specialises in selling quality diamonds, gems and engagement rings online. They operate their store purely online, which allows them to cut overhead costs and focus exclusively on quality and service. This means you can get your hot little hands on top-notch wedding jewellery at a fraction of the price charged by bricks and mortar jewellery stores.

What’s more, their website has exclusive Diamond Display Technology, which allows you to interact with diamonds magnified in 360°.

We love that James Allen has G.I.A Graduate Gemologists on staff at both their Maryland and New York offices, which are available to answer all your questions at any time.

Plus all their diamonds are GIA, AGS or IGI certified. They even have experts that examine and hand select each and every diamond prior to shipment. Impressive quality control, huh!

James Allen also makes sure that their diamonds are conflict-free, which means that their gems were not obtained due to human rights abuses, child labor, violence, or environmental degradation. They ensure this by only purchasing polished diamonds from professional members of the diamond trade and by only having contracts with suppliers that guarantee that their diamonds are conflict-free.

Lets face it though; sometimes a girl wants to try on an engagement ring before she commits to it. Luckily James Allen totally sympathises and offers free shipping on all their items, a 60-day money back guarantee, and free ring resizing for 60 days after your purchase.

We’re involuntary sighing and swooning over their Designer Engagement Ring Collection, which features exquisite rings with lots of little diamonds and shimmering brilliance.

We’re also super keen on their Tension-Set Engagement Ring Collection. The tension ring doesn’t have any prongs holding the diamond in place. Instead, tension rings use the force and the tension of the ring to push against the diamond to hold the diamond securely in place. This type of setting creates the illusion that the center diamond is floating in the air. It’s absolutely perfect for the contemporary girl!

We also find the Gemstone Engagement Ring Collection totally irresistible. We think sapphires, emeralds and rubies are simply gorgeous, especially when paired with a diamond center stone. It’s wonderfully unexpected!
