Guest Post: Vera Wang For The Budget Bride

A new Vera Wang Collection is now available at David’s Bridal…best part is that the prices are affordable. Brides can now have a true Vera Wang gown at an affordable price of $600-$1400 USD.

This was the hardest secret to keep! I first viewed the White by Vera Wang for David’s Bridal collection back in November at the pre-launch event for bridal editors. Sworn to secrecy, I had to refrain from blogging about it until the official press launch last Tuesday.

Vera looked radiant as she spoke about the partnership with David’s Bridal. Bringing her gowns to a wider audience would now be possible with David’s extensive manufacturing capabilities. She described the mood of the collection as youthful, whimsical and romantic, inspired by Edgar Degas.

The silhouettes include a one-shoulder goddess column and a modern ball gown each replete with her hallmark details in beading, fabric selection and draping. My favorite style is the blush pink organza strapless fit-and-flare gown with a skirt of hand-cut flanged layers (above).

The White by Vera Wang collection just opened at David’s Bridal stores across the US and will launch in Canada in March. Soon to follow will be a bridesmaids, shoe and accessories line.

The marriage of two bridal powerhouses is sure to be a match made in heaven! Fingers crossed they start delivering to Australia soon.

Editor Note: To get around the delivery issue you could always set up a US postal address with a mail forwarding company like our super lovely sponsor Bongo International.
