Silky, flowy dresses in nude colours are so in at the moment.
And Lebanese fashion designer Reem Acra’s Spring 2012 Collection was afloat with not just nudes, but cool champagnes and warm bronzes. If you remember our New York Bridal Spring 2012 Collection feature, her pieces then were inspired by the royal wedding and filled with princess gowns and tiaras.
This ready-to-wear collection, however, is more toned down. Some of these frocks would be fabulous to wear on your pre-wedding rehearsal dinner or during the wedding reception. Reem Acra’s signature use of intricate embroidery and delicate beadwork under luxurious fabrics, along with the simplest of silhouettes that flatter the female form, result in the most gorgeous gowns.
Out of the collection, these would be perfect as wedding (or pre-wedding event) dresses…
Reem said that she wanted to keep a luxurious look in daywear for this collection, which she has brilliantly achieved—don’t you think?
This look has an edgy, glam feel to it—great for the rocker chick who still wants to be in her elegant best during the rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.
