Emily and Patrick’s Salt Lake City Engagement 13.01.2014

Raise your hand if you love these engagement photos…

Salt Lake City couple, Emily and Patrick, chose to have two scenes for their engagement session. One was a Bohemian style scene and the other was an Industrial style scene.

Amy of Amy Cloud Photography captured the engagement session and commented, “Emily and Patrick wanted a mix of the beautiful Utah Mountains, as well as a downtown Salt Lake City vibe for their engagement photos. We created two looks for each location.

I absolutely love how their [engagement] session turned out, [it’s] definitely one of my all time favourites. These two babes paired with a perfect wardrobe and a classy city backdrop was a total dream!”

Personally, we’re seriously besotted with the bohemian flower crown and the chic backless dress adorned with sequins.

Vintage Engagement Shoot {Stephanie + Mason} 17.06.2013

Today we’re getting lost is some dreamy engagement photos captured by Gideon Photography.

Whilst this Utah engagement shoot was purely setup for inspirational purposes, the models for the day were/are a real couple. They also chose what to wear on the day and weren’t told how to behave.

We’re smitten with everything about this shoot, but we’re particularly smitten with the impromptu pillow fight, Stephanie’s painted flats and the wooden bangles she wore which were customized with text by Paloma’s Nest. We also can’t overlook the adorable save-the-date cards by Momental Designs.

Kristy Rice of Momental Designs explained the design concept behind the unique save-the-date cards, “For save-the-dates I created a DIY friendly concept with Polaroids as the focal point. I picked up wooden boxes from a local craft store and painted a Sego Lily (Utah State Flower) on each lid. Inside were two mini Poloroids with fun shots of a watercolour palette and the couple holding hands. Each shot had a note written; ‘October 20, 2012′ and the other read ‘Write it down.’  Of course I had to include a mini Sharpie pen for guests to literally write it down. The idea was to create an interactive save-the-date; one that guests opened and sensed playfulness immediately.”

Vintage Beach Engagement {Crystal + Tony} 02.05.2013

Okay folks. Let’s just pause for a minute and truly admire this adorable couple and their beautiful engagement photos.

Quinn LaCasse captured the beautiful photos and styled the playful shoot. Quinn remarks, “The one request that Crystal had was Vintage. She trusted my artistic style and left the rest up to my interpretation. I took it up a notch and created a modern approach on a vintage themed session. Staying true to the vintage attire and styling I kept my photographs bright and full of life to appeal to today’s modern bride and stay true to my own specific photography style.”

The dual location of the engagement session was downtown Atlantic Beach, Florida as well as Mayport, Florida where the St John’s River empties into the Atlantic Ocean.

The lovely proposal story explains the engagement session locations and the vintage theme. Tony proposed by surprising Crystal with a secret trip to the West Coast of Florida. One the final night of the trip, they travelled to Sanibel/Captiva Island. It was during a beautiful sunset that Tony got down on one knee and popped the question with a stunning vintage style engagement ring.

We think the vintage beach engagement shoot idea is genius. After all, who doesn’t love a day at the beach and a little old school elegance!
