Viceroy Bali

When it comes to destination wedding venues we have three things that are high on our priority list: gorgeous venue, excellent service and convenience. Viceroy Bali has them all – it’s essentially the destination wedding venue that holds the triple threat.

Viceroy Bali is a five star family owned and operated resort in Ubud consisting of 25 luxuriously appointed private pool villas. The gorgeous pool villas are majestically situated in Bali’s “Valley of the Kings”. “Valley of the Kings” is a title given to the area by locals due to the many generations of Balinese royalty who resided in nearby villages.

From the moment you arrive at Viceroy Bali, it’s easy to see why Balinese royalty were attracted to the peaceful area. The lush surroundings make Viceroy Bali feel like a tropical hideaway. It also feels tremendously sophisticated, comfortable, and private.

When it comes to weddings, Viceroy Bali is quintessential and has an events team that can handle anything and everything. They are well prepared and super experienced in planning all types of weddings, from large traditional white weddings to intimate Balinese legal weddings. The team handle all customised activates for the event {photographer, wedding cake, band), whilst also creating a delicious culinary experience and providing superior attentive service.

The convenience factor is also extremely endearing, as Viceroy Bali has every facility under the sun. It has the Viceroy Bar, which has an exceptional view over the Petanu river gorge and is a perfect place to just sit and relax. It has CasCades Restaurant, which is an award-winning fine dining restaurant with a contemporary French menu influenced by exotic Asian flavours.

It has the Lembah Spa, which offers therapeutic body treatments developed by a certified Swiss therapist. It has a gymnasium where you can book yourself in for a private yoga class. It has a boutique full of casual resort wear, jewellery and artefacts. It even has a helicopter pad, perfect for guests that want to avoid the 45-minute drive from the Ngurah Rai international airport or for guests that want to tour neighbouring islands in style.

It also has a large infinity edge pool, library and so much more.

All the villas are spacious, beyond luxurious, and include a pool. Complimentary perks include daily á la carte breakfast, wireless internet connection, daily restocking of the mini bar with non-alcoholic drinks, an espresso maker, 24 hr room service and magnificent views of the Petanu River Gorge.

Lake Louise Wedding {Rebecca + Paul}

Oh my goodness! Today, we’re in absolute heaven and massively excited to share these destination wedding pictures photographed by Julie Williams Photography.

Rebecca and Paul were married on the 29th of September 2010 at Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. The adorable couple are from the UK, but decided to marry at Lake Louise because they had travelled across Canada a couple of years prior and absolutely fallen in love with Banff National Park. It’s little wonder why, as the location is undeniably breathtaking!

The couple hosted a super intimate and classy affair for their closest friends and family at the chic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Our Congratulations and best wishes to Rebecca and Paul and thank you for sharing your envy inducing wedding pictures.

Real DIY Wedding {Marnhe + Simon}

DIY wedding and wedding pictures of Marnhe + Simon…

Marnhe and Simon held their gorgeous destination wedding in beautiful South Africa. This wedding really is a treat, with the majority of the wedding being DIY’ed {from the wedding dress that the brides mother made to the picnic meal}.

This stunning wedding was photographed by the ultra talented Riekert Cloete. On a side note, I’m seriously in love with the brides wedding dress and wishing my mum could whip me up a dress like that…a girl can dream! For those of you that are dying to know, the dressmaker was Magdalena Catharina Dress Studio.
