Rustic Queensland Wedding

Here’s our favourite Queensland wedding venues.

Sirromet Winery

Queensland-wedding-venues

Located in Mount Cotton in South East Queensland, this venue has numerous function options from outdoor and indoor to a below ground cellar and barrel rooms.

Our favorite is the above pictured Sirromet Barrel Hall which can seat up to 120 for banquet style dinning. It’s got the charm factor.

The Australian Muster Experience

Located in Miallo, this venue offers the true blue Aussie experience. The above pictured rustic shed is open plan with polished wood tables and can seat 350 banquet style and 600 cocktail. We love that this venue allows you to upgrade to a full rodeo show for your wedding. Sounds like fun.

Jonaryan Woolshed

Queensland-wedding-venues

Jonaryan Woolshed is the oldest operating wool shed in Queensland and is located on the Darling Downs, approximately two and a half hours drive from Brisbane.

The woolshed can accommodate up to 300 guests and has basic accommodation in the Shearer’s Quarters and a newly renovated self-contained twin share cabin {the Wainui Cottage}, which would be perfect for the bride and groom.

When picking a venue in country Queensland keep in mind transport issues, accommodation issues, catering issues, available hair and makeup services. Reason being, the more remote the venue, the more challenging these issues can become.

Melbourne Wedding {Rebecca + James}

We were tickled pink when we saw these wedding pictures, photographed by Jonas Peterson.

The stunning couple, Rebecca and James, held their wedding in the tallest residential building in the Southern hemisphere…the 300m Eureka Tower in Melbourne.

We adore the shots taken from the Eureka Tower, the graffiti backdrop shots, and that sensational wedding dress.

Milford Homestead Wedding {Mel + Nick}

These wedding photos by Jonas Peterson, are truly charming. So much so, that we had to share them.

This wedding has it all – the country charm, the beautiful couple, the brides 1950s vintage wedding dress, stunning centerpieces, herb port glass wedding favors, and an amazing wedding venue. The wedding venue of choice was an old charming homestead in Milford, which is located approximately 15 minutes from Boonah in Queensland Australia.

Our favorite elements of this wedding were the stunning centerpieces and the wedding stationary. The centerpieces featured a square of pianola roll love songs placed underneath candles and mismatched vases that contained native Australian wildflowers collected from Boonah on the morning of the wedding. The wedding stationary included wedding invitations and seating cards, which were designed by the artistic groom.
