The Peanut Warehouse Wedding {Kristen + Thomas}

We love this wedding so much that we feel like throwing a parade!

The sweet couple wed at Riverfront Park, followed by their reception at The Peanut Warehouse located in Conway, South Carolina, United States.

“The Peanut Warehouse was unique because it was an old barn [and] literally used to be a peanut warehouse and tobacco warehouse years ago. It was a beautiful rustic space that we turned into exactly what we wanted.” It was also an ironic choice because “Thomas’s family farms tobacco and peanuts,” says Kristen.

Kristen and Thomas went all out with rustic touches, handmade details, and bold colours. Kristen explains, “Our colour combination was mostly Chartreuse and Diamond White with pops of Coral.”

The DIY addicted bride and her mother worked tirelessly to ensure all the wedding details were unique, original, and gorgeous. Kristen says, “My mum and I did a lot of DIY details. That was my favourite part of the planning process; we had so much fun coming up with projects for the wedding. We became addicted to Pinterest and found so many things to make. We made all of the signs and banners (bar sign, burlap ‘just married sign’, ‘come as you are, no seating plan’ sign, chalkboard signs), frayed burlap runners for all the tables, rustic distressed picture frames, rustic window pane picture, moss cake rounds, moss ‘H’, burlap wreath, burlap program fans, mercury glass candle holders, and much more!”

What was your biggest challenge?

“Biggest challenge, besides the guest list, was probably trying to pick just one idea for theme or colour combination. I would find myself pinning wedding ideas for hours, and by the time I stopped I had changed my mind 5 times. I finally just had to pick something I liked and stop looking. People are so creative, I had a hard time choosing which direction I wanted to go with the wedding.”

What’s your favourite moment?

“That’s a hard question, the whole process was amazing. I had so much fun helping create our dream wedding, and then marrying the man of my dreams and spending that special time with our family and friends. A funny memory of our wedding is, during the ceremony while were doing our vows, a pontoon boat rides by on the river blaring “Lets get it on” by Marvin Gaye. Everyone just stopped and started laughing.”

What’s your advice?

“My advice – get your major stuff out of the way first, like vendors, guest list, ceremony music and script etc. Then have fun with the designing and décor. Also, don’t sweat over anything, especially the small stuff. Nobody is going to notice, heck, I didn’t even notice half the stuff we worried over for months. Just stop, breathe, and take it all in because time will fly by.”
