This wedding combines rustic style with timeless handmade touches and the great outdoors.
Alexandria and Jacob wed on a charming farm in Pemberton, British Columbia, Vancouver. Their ceremony was held in a field with hay bails, burlap and over-sized balloons. This was followed by a cocktail hour, which included axe throwing and crochet.
The reception was set inside a rustic open aired barn lit by candles and strung fairy lights. The couple chose locally grown flowers for the tables and continued the theme by hiring local caterers, serving locally grown food, and providing beer brewed in Vancouver.
The clever bride designed the wedding herself and included paper cranes, glass bottles as vases, and even a salvaged wooden board that she made into the seating chart.
Anastasia Photography captured the wedding and tells us “Jake and Alexandria were lovely to photograph. The rest of the evening included the lighting of Eco-friendly paper wish lanterns and a barn dance that went on into the wee hours of the morning.”
This wedding makes us seriously ponder the inner workings of the bride’s mind, “how can one lady be blessed with such design awesomeness.” As far as we’re concerned, the over-sized flower bouquet, the plaid flannel shirt and the open aired barn are all golden ideas.
Congratulations Alexandria and Jacob.
