Beautiful Karen and Michael wed at Peppers Creek Chapel and Barrel Room, Pokolbin NSW.
The couple celebrated their wedding with an elegant colour scheme, that included “a touch of green, accent colours of black and cream and a backdrop of soft pink hues.”
Karen wore a dreamy Karen Willis Holmes wedding dress, purchased in Paddington NSW. Karen recalls, “My biggest challenge was finding a dress. I knew my gorgeous groom would look fantastic in his suit, but I struggled to find a dress that looked like a wedding dress and that didn’t swamp my small frame. Thankfully, I discovered my dream dress at Karen Willis Holmes.”
“Our flower of choice for the day was roses, in keeping with my husband’s surname and my new one, ‘Rose’,” says Karen.
What made your wedding unique?
“In keeping with our ‘touch of green’ theme, we used green toffee apples as bonbonniere and tied these with black ribbon. My groom added whimsy to his tuxedo with a pair of green stripy socks whilst I added some sparkle to my gown with a pair of Jimmy Choos. At the reception I wore what became known as my ‘party belt’, a one of a kind piece from Karen Willis Holmes, to signal the beginning of the festivities.”
What was your favourite moment?
“When our reverend pronounced us man and wife. I was so excited that I went in for a second kiss!”
What’s your advice?
“Stay true to yourselves whilst you plan your wedding, you won’t regret doing things your way.”
