High fives all round for this amazing wedding.
Laura and Jonathan wed at the Volt, a Maryland venue that’s well known for it’s 19th century Gilded Era architecture. The architecture inspired the lovely couple to have an elegant Victorian wedding with modern sophistication. They included red, black, dark orange and brown into their gorgeous colour scheme to match the rich colours of Autumn (aka Fall in the USA and Canada).
They also opted to have an intimate ceremony at the venue where their guests formed an intimate circle around them as they exchanged vows under whimsical suspended flowers.
The charming ceremony was officiated by the groom’s brother and the bridal party consisted of the groom’s son (as his best man), the bride’s niece (as her maid of honor) and other much-loved nieces and nephews.
After the ceremony, the couple hosted a cocktail-style luncheon reception where guests lunched on an assortment of seasonal canapes and other scrumptious items from oysters to goat cheese ravioli.
To kick off the dancing, Laura and Jonathan danced for the first time as husband and wife to the song “You Are” by Lionel Richie and were joined by Jonathan’s son midway. Then Jonathan, an accomplished drummer, joined his band, Detached Retina, for a few songs.
We’re oh-so obsessed with this couples wedding vision and the super incredible floral creations by EnMasse Flowers, especially the whimsical suspended ceremony floral arrangement and floral wall art.
Congratulations Laura and Jonathan and thank you for sharing your outstanding wedding pictures with One Stylish Bride.
