All American Backyard Wedding 07.10.2013

This backyard wedding inspiration is hardcore patriotic.

Dani Fine. Photography was responsible for photographing and art directing this shoot and explained, “The inspiration for this styled shoot was pure and simple and American as apple pie. The goal was to create a classic backyard wedding with a traditional patriotic palette of red, white and blue. We spiced up this basic theme with vintage nuances and modern sensibilities.

With charming DIY details like pinwheel place cards, pouches of homemade confetti and old time glass bottle sodas, the styling would serve equally well for Memorial Day, Fourth of July or any summertime cookout. [Ultimately] we wanted the shoot to feel fresh with lots of details and potent colour.”

Our favourite things about this shoot, without a doubt, are the medley of artisan cakes and the majorly romantic underwater photos. Check below for the full list of amazing vendors!

Don Strange Ranch Wedding {Elizabeth + Taylor} 30.09.2013

If you love this wedding, we don’t blame you. It’s rustic awesome.

Elizabeth and Taylor, both from Houston, Texas, chose to wed in gorgeous Boerne, Texas at the Don Strange Ranch. They both fell in love with the rustic charm of the venue as soon as they laid their eyes on it. For their wedding, the duo was surrounded by 250 of their nearest and dearest friends and family.

Here’s an interesting fact, the ranch was actually made famous last year when Miranda Lampert and Blake Shelton got hitched there. Love that!

Bella Montagna Wedding {Erika + Michael} 23.09.2013

This wedding indulges our love for beautiful things.

The beautiful couple met whilst at college. Erika explains, “Michael and I met in college while working at Trader Joe’s. We hit it off instantly becoming great friends, but eventually we found ourselves single and decided to jump into an amorous relationship that’s lasted 9+ years. So it was no coincidence that his proposal took place at Trader Joes, where we first met.”

Erika and Michael chose to have an outdoor wedding on a private estate and a cultural theme. “We married outside on a private estate in San Jose, California. We wanted a place that felt like home and more intimate than most wedding venues feel. Our theme was ‘a joining of two cultures.’ Michael is African American and I’m Mexican American. We had Mexican and African American traditions such as jumping the broom and a mariachi band, which actually played as we landed our jump. Both were our favourite and cherished moments,” says Erika.

More from the Bride:

Did you DIY anything for your wedding?

“My wedding was full of DIYs. The program fans, all signs, escort cards, candy favors, cookie favors. If I had to do it again I would’ve had the escort cards professionally made. I ran out of time and ran into a few problems with the printer (typical)! My advice is to have your friends and family help. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.”

What is your advice for brides currently in the planning process?

“Keep calm and carry on. The end is near and it’s going to be the happiest day of your life! So don’t worry all the work and money is worth it in the end.”

Congratulations Erika and Michael and thank you for sharing your wedding pictures with One Stylish Bride.
