This styled shoot ignites a quiet thrill within us. Then, sheer joy!

Two super talented ladies, Mary of Evie & Jr. Photography and Nicole of Roots Reclaimed, put it together. The duo decided to recreate a couples wedding day in the colours and style they fancied.

The idea to recreate a couples wedding day came from the fact that both Mary and Nicole were disappointed in their own wedding photos and felt that their photos didn’t capture their styles. They pondered how wonderful it would be if they could do a ‘take two’ on their wedding photos! From this the idea to recreate a couples wedding day was born.

The chosen couple, Natalie and Robert, just celebrated their Five-year anniversary and have 4 lovely children. Natalie used her original wedding dress because it was such a significant part of the original wedding day. Meanwhile, Robert kept it casual, but slightly spruced it up with a bow tie and vest.

Mary and Nicole comment, “We paid attention to the small details like little vintage keys, books, soda bottles and glass jars. We used vintage doilies to lie across the table for a runner and fabric to decorate the back of the chairs. The styled shoot really took on a life of its own as we came to know more about Natalie and Robert. We reused and repurposed just about everything we could find. The bamboo bike in our opinion and the flowers were a highlight of the day and celebration. They were whimsical and cute, and made a statement. [Also] Natalie and Robert are still so in love and have fun together and we think that the shoot really captured the bond between them.”

Take Two Styled Shoot

It’s with extreme foot-jittering delight that we share these pretty wedding pictures.

Stunning couple, Rhiana and Brian, chose to have a church wedding followed by a backyard picnic style reception. They held their charming reception in their friend’s backyard in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, United States.

The couple chose a wickedly cool Blue and Red colour scheme, as well as the world’s most adorable wedding cake, which they surrounded with strawberries and scrumptious looking pies.

The fabulous girls from Celebrations were responsible for the adorable table arrangements and floral designs.

Melissa Stallings Photography captured the day and remarked, “I had entirely too much fun getting to know this couple, from their County Fair engagement session to their laid back, home-style wedding. They made my job so incredibly enjoyable and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to document their day.”

These engagement photos are both seriously romantic and seriously pretty.

The cute couple met as infants in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. “Our parents forged a friendship that would last a lifetime. In fact, our mothers joked that when we grew up we would get married. Little did they know this would come to fruition, even after [Jason and his family] moved to Florida in the mid-eighties”, says Michelyn.

Michelyn and Jason were briefly reunited in 2005 in Tampa. This was followed by a hiatus in which Michelyn won the title of Miss Wisconsin USA and Jason became a Division 1 college basketball coach. It wasn’t until 2009 that their paths would cross again, yet this time romance blossomed. We vote for their first child to be called faith, fate or destiny!
