Carnival theme wedding pictures

Today’s real wedding couple, Jenna and Tommy, opted for a retro carnival theme. Their inspiration was that of a 1950’s carnival complete with carousel, penny candy and popcorn {pretty cool}!

Jenna and Tommy were married in Providence, RI in Roger Williams Park and their talented photographer was Olivia of Olivia Gird Photography. I’m seriously going bonkers for this wedding and the ink!

I adore this whimsical wedding, styled by Amorology Weddings. The whimsical theme for Rebecca and Geritt’s wedding originated from The Sound of Music, “These are a few of my favorite things”…which resulted in an abundance of fun and playful details. Today’s real wedding features the coolest couple I have seen to date. Stephanie {a fashion merchandiser} and Wil {a senior baker} ooze a certain sparkle that just can’t be overlooked. Their wonderful Alabama wedding was photographed by the equally wonderful Our Labor of Love.

Impressively the whole wedding was completely DIY’ed with the exception of the dinner catering. The bride made the invitations, the programs, designed the candy bar, and made the corsages & boutonnieres and all of the floral arrangements & bouquets. The groom baked and made the entire dessert bar. He made French macaroons, cookie truffles, cupcakes, candied apples, and the wedding cake. Now surely that’s deserving of some type of DIY’ing award.

Stephanie wore a fitted pink dress and black veil {her dress was inspired by a Vera Wang bridesmaid dress and was made by a dress maker that she found on ebay}. Her stunning dress cost $300 in total and was complemented wonderfully by a  grey fabric flower in her hair and funky grey nails.

Will I ever get tired of wedding photo booths and wedding photo booth ideas? I think not! I just love seeing people be silly in what is traditionally a formal event. The silly props, the bright colors and the laughing guests…just add an element of fun that’s so uplifting! Your in for a treat, as the second installment of Bridget and Chris’s real wedding is jam packed with stunning wedding ideas and wedding reception decoration ideas.

The venue was amongst movie studios in Toluca Lake and involved appearances by SpongeBob & Jigsaw! My word what a contrast between Jigsaw and the gorgeous bride!

The couple opted for yummy choc-chip cookies for favors.

The bride and groom’s favorite movie posters were used to display the table names. I adore the black and red wedding decorations, it looks super striking!

A vintage ticket booth was used to serve up the seating assignments. Very cool!

The bride and groom serenading each other with good old karaoke.

Instead of the bouquet toss, the stunning bride opted to perform a dance. She learned the choreography for “All the Single Ladies” and danced up a storm. she was lucky enough to learn the choreography from Beyonce’s coordinator and man does it show. {Check out the confidence}. This is a great option for those brides that have few if any single friends and family!

Ice Cream Sundae Bar = Yummo!

Funnily enough this last picture was not posed! The picture was the result of the groom answering his phone during the portrait session. Priceless!
