We love the simplicity of this gorgeous and modern wedding captured by David Ferguson Photography.

Kate and Patrick wed in Brisbane at St Patrick’s Church, followed by their reception at The Pavilion.

Kate explained the wedding concept. “We tried to make it a fun night for everyone with dinner, dancing and a photo booth.” The colour combination was “navy and silver. Bridesmaids wore navy dresses with silver accessories. Groomsmen wore grey suits with navy ties.”

Kate wore a stunning Hilde Heim wedding dress purchased from “Hilde Heim store in Alderley.”

“The placecard settings, seating chart and ceremony programs were all designed and made by us,” says Kate.

What was your biggest challenge?

“Trying to fit everyone we wanted to be there into the specified room numbers.”

What was your favourite moment?

“Everything! I wouldn’t change a thing.

I loved the photos that came out of the photo booth – it kept us laughing for many days after – and proved what a good time everyone had at the wedding.”

What’s your advice?

“Take in all the advice and ideas from everywhere and everyone but make it exactly the way you want your wedding to be. Don’t worry about what others think or try to compete with others weddings.”

This wedding channels the laid back and the sweet and was captured by Matthew Evans Photography.

Adorable Alana and Kieran wed at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas in Cairns Australia, with a colour theme of ivory and purple combined with colourful flowers.

Alana wore a chic wedding dress by Studibaker, which she purchased in Newcastle, NSW.

Alana recall, “My favourite moment was the ceremony, it was perfect. The beach setting looked amazing, we had perfect weather and I got to marry the man I love. Kierans favourite moment was seeing me for the first time as I walked down the aisle. Cute!”

Alana explains what made the wedding unique, “our wedding was unique because of the location. Most of our guests were from down near Sydney and they got to come up to Port Douglas for a holiday and enjoy the tropical weather while it was still cold down south. Our reception was also on a island in the middle of the resorts swimming pool. [Also] we did DIY place card settings. They were wooden hearts that we painted white with people’s names on them.”

What’s your advice?

“My advice would be to not stress about all of the small details because the day is meant to be enjoyed. Dont worry if you dont get to have a conversation with everyone, they understand that you are trying your best and they just want you to have a good time.”

This Brisbane wedding is all class and sophistication.

We love the breathtaking St Stephens Cathedral where the couple wed, the elegant Paloma Blanca wedding dress worn by the bride, the stunning River Room reception views, and the chic wedding photography by David Ferguson Photography.

David explained, “Samantha and Adam live in England so planning their wedding in Brisbane was always going to require lots of help. I think Sam and her mum Analisa did an amazing job.

On her wedding day where else would Sam get ready than, surrounded by her sisters and her parents in [their] extremely warm and inviting family home. Everyone calmly went about their preparations and it was soon time to head to the church.”

David recalls, “I had never photographed in St Stephens Cathedral in Brisbane and I was looking forward to it. It is a beautiful building with lovely clean lines and is reasonably well lit for a building of its age.

After the ceremony we were so close to lots of great spots so we went for a walk around Eagle St pier. [Then] after a few night shots under the bougainvillaea’s it was onto the reception and after an impromptu dace practice the reception began at the River Room over looking Brisbane’s beautiful skyline.”
