These charming engagement photos were photographed by Kirralee Wedding Photographer and are bound to warm your heart. We especially love the story of how Lucy and Andrew met and came to be engaged.
Adorable Lucy and Andrew met on a blind date, which was organised by Lucy’s sister and Andrew’s best friend, and so it was that Andrew arranged to meet her at Grossi Florentinos on Bourke Street, Melbourne. Lucy said she would be the girl holding the pink phone. Unbelievably, the pair fell in love instantly. Lucy explains, “It was love at first sight, simple as that.”
However, Lucy was just seven weeks away from starting her new job as an air-hostess with Emirates, which meant the dating game was a tad more complicated. For the next year, Lucy and Andrew caught up once a month and also during her leave. Lucy would fly into Melbourne and they would spend 24 hours together before she would fly out again.
When Lucy couldn’t see Andrew, she would write him letters which were postmarked from all the over the world. However after some time away she eventually decided that she missed him too much and that it was time to return home.
Love endures all, right!
Kirralee of Kirralee Wedding Photographer explained the styling for the engagement shoot.
“We aimed for a fun and romantic photo shoot that included elements of the relationship the couple has shared. I used hints of red throughout because it is their favourite colour. The globe, suitcases and Emirates aeroplane signify where they began in their relationship. We chose to include some family heirlooms that the couple would be bringing into their marriage and which signified where they had come from – like grandma’s teacups and a beautiful ruby radio that belonged to Andrew’s uncle.”
