We can certainly see why so many brides are choosing to include Mason jars in their DIY weddings! These adorable bottles have been used as canning containers for many generations and are such a fabulous way to add an instant vintage vibe to a wedding – they’re readily available, inexpensive, and incredibly useful!

Here are five simple wedding reception ideas to incorporate Mason jars into your big day:

1. Jar your cake and eat it, too!

Mason jars make awesome wedding favor holders. Whip up your favorite cake batter and pour them into small Mason jars. Bake as usual, frost, pack on the lids, and voila—cupcakes in a bottle! Or assemble parfaits like the ones pictured above. If you’re more of a candy person, buy them in bulk and place in Mason jars. Whatever your preference, don’t forget the little touches that count—stickers, ribbons, pieces of fabric or buttons, maybe even spoons attached to the jars, and anything else that will tie the jarred favors to your wedding theme.

2. Bottoms up

Pass up on the old punch bowl and cups, and use Mason jars instead as containers for your beverages. Use the half-gallon-size jars like punch bowls and the cup-size ones as drinking glasses. You can either serve the drinks without lids, or punch a hole in the middle of the lids in advance and slide pretty straws in them. If you choose to go lidless, remember that you can still pack a punch by adding things like decorative-edge ribbons and fruit slices for garnish.

3. Fresh as a daisy

This is really easy—get a whole bunch of flowers, cut the stems to size, and place them in Mason jars. Remember to add water almost halfway up the jars. The key here is to keep the flower arrangement simple. No complicated designs, please. We want a homey, just-thrown-in-together feel, not something that was worked on for hours on end. Not to say that you can’t combine different flowers and colors, but keeping everything simple brings out the charm of the flowers together with the Mason jars.

4. Light and love

Add some twinkly love to your wedding by turning Mason jars into elegant outdoor lanterns. Again, with mason jars, there are several ways to do this: buy inexpensive solar garden lamps (these usually retail at a few dollars for a pack of lamps), take them apart, and put what you see inside into the mason jar. Paint the jars with frosting spray so that the light glows softly from within. Another option is to attach lighting cord sets to the Mason jar lids and install light bulbs inside. The last—and easiest—method is to weigh down the jars with a bit of sand or pebbles and place tea lights or votives inside. Tie some heavy-gauge wire around the mouth of the jars so you can hang them from a tree. You can use all of Mason jar lamps individually in strategic places throughout your venue or group them together into chandeliers.

5. What’s that number again?

Mason jars also make excellent table number centerpieces. Draw your shape of choice onto a piece of cardboard, number the shapes, cut, and attach to the jars with string or ribbon. Or using an image-editing program on your computer, print appropriate-size numbers with a cute font and glue onto cardboard and place them inside the Mason jars. Finally, fill the jars with beans, coffee, seashells, or whatever strikes your fancy.

I personally love alternative bouquets and I’m constantly on the look out for new materials that I can make bouquets with. Don’t get me wrong I love real flower bouquets, but non-traditional bouquets can become a family heirloom and can have deeply personal touches added to them.

This tutorial is a play on a simple paper bouquet, but adds the element of durability. I have seen several beautiful paper bouquets, but I always question how long the paper will last. There are so many “what ifs” on a wedding day that the last thing you want to worry about is your bouquet falling apart. The great thing about this bouquet is that the enamel gives a nice hard coating, which will protect your paper flowers and will look great all day and night!

The only drawback to this tutorial is that there is a small investment for necessary tools, but if you’re planning to become a serious crafter than it’s totally worth the cost.

Things You’ll Need For The Flowers:

Flower Paper Punches {Choose punches that will give you enough variety for a dynamic bunch of flowers. Also make sure you choose a small flower punch that you’ll use for the center of your flowers}

Beautiful Papers

Ranger Sue Weinberg Melting Pot and Tools {I got my melting pot on Ebay for $25 with shipping. It also came with the tweezers and spatula}

¼ Yard Fabric {Choose any colour that matches your bouquet colour – this will be used to to wrap around the bottom of your bouquet}

Non Stick Craft Paper

Utee Thick Enamel

Gorilla Glue

12 Guage Floral Wire

Small Block of Dense Foam

Craft Tacky Glue

Rubber Band

Small Buttons or Pearls for the centers of the flowers

Things You’ll Need For The Bouquet Handle:

6” Wooden Dowels

Lace or any fabric / ribbon you want to wrap your handle with.

3”-4” Diameter Foam Ball

Small Buttons

Things From Around The House:

Scissors

Hot Glue Gun

Needle Nose Pliers with Wire Cutter

Small House Fan

Optional Tools:

Sizzix Die Cutter. If you are a “hardcore” crafter like me, then this is an amazing investment! I got my die cutter on sale at Joann’s for $70, but that doesn’t include the different dies you have to buy to use it. However, once you know the ease of die cutting with it, you’ll never want to go back!

Step 1:

Either punch or die cut your flowers. I suggest at least investing in the paper punches otherwise you’ll be hand cutting flowers for a LONG time. Once you have a substantial pile of different size flowers in all the same colours or a variety of colours you’re ready to glue.

Step 2:

Take each flower cut out and cut from the edge of one of the petals to the center of the flower. Take your Craft Tacky Glue and put a little on one of the petals next to where you just cut, then glue the adjacent petal to it. Depending on what kind of paper you are using you might have to clip you petals together and let the glue dry. In my case the Tacky Glue was enough so I didn’t have to clip them. Repeat this step until all your flower cut-outs are 3D. Let everything dry and by hand fold back your petals.

Step 3:

Plug in your Melting Pot and put it to the Utee setting. Make sure you have your non-stick craft paper rolled out nearby otherwise you are going to make a huge mess. Pour in a good amount of Utee Enamel into your pot and let it melt without stirring it, which causes air bubbles. I like to have a small fan next to me when I work because it helps dry the enamel faster as well as clears the fumes from the melting enamel.

I used clear Utee Enamel, which turns an amber colour very fast but is still pretty. You can purchase many different colours and test out how it looks with different papers. After the enamel is melted take your pre-made 3D flower cut-outs and dip them one at a time into the enamel. Using your tweezers coat both sides of the flower and then place it onto your non-stick craft sheet. This sheet is amazing! You can drag your flower along it to get the excess enamel off and after a few seconds the enamel will be dry enough to peel off the craft sheet and throw back into the melting pot! Repeat this process until you have dipped all of your flowers cut-outs.

Tip: If you get excess enamel on your petals you can simply use a pair of small scissors and it will snip right off. It’s always easier to do this when your enamel isn’t fully dry, but can also be done after. It takes less than 60 seconds for the enamel to fully dry, so working quickly is key.

Step 4:

After you have dipped all your cut-outs, it’s easier to see how many layers you want your flowers to be. Stack your dipped cut-outs and make your desired flowers. After you have your stacked piles take out your floral wire and cut it to approximately 4” lengths. Bend the end of each wire with your finger or with your pliers. Put a good amount of hot glue on the inside of your bottom layer of one stacked flower and glue down the wire. My die cut pattern had a hole in each flower, but if yours don’t you can simply cut one in your bottom flower layer so you can thread your wire through. Once the wire is glued, continue gluing your layers as you had already stacked them.

If your flowers don’t have enough surface area to glue into the next layer, cut a small piece of dense foam and glue in-between the layers to act as a spacer.

Once your flower has all its layers glued including its small center piece take a rhinestone, pearl, button, or anything else you can think of and glue it in the very center of your flower.

Now place the wire steam of your completed flower into a block of dense foam and start on the next flower. Look at how big your foam ball is (which will be attached to your handle) and how big your flowers are, this will tell you how many flowers you will need to make. In my case I used the Sizzix Flower Layers # 3 with a 3” foam ball and used 19 flowers to complete my bouquet.

Step 5:

Now it’s time to make the handle.

I am sure there are hundreds of ways to make a bouquet handle, but this is what I made up and it works well! You can also buy plastic bouquet handles with dense foam tops from Michaels Craft Stores for about $5. For my handle you need to either find (6) 6”wooden dowels or cut dowels down to 6” lengths. I found 12” long dowels at Michaels and used a small hack saw to cut them in half. After you have your dowels at the length you want them, take your hot glue gun and run a line of glue down one of the dowels and then glue two together. Continue gluing in a circle until you have your handle. If you have cut your dowels yourself make sure the rough cut edges are all in the same direction and the smooth factory edges are all level and on one side.

Once the dowels are glued, cut a piece of the same paper you used for your flowers and cut it to size. Cut out a piece of lace or matching fabric that is larger than the diameter of the bottom of your handle and glue the piece to the factory edges of the dowels. Cut the excess fabric edges and wrap it around the side of the dowels and glue them down. I wrapped the same paper as I used for the white part of my flowers around the dowels, then glue the edge with your craft tacky glue. I used a piece of lace and covered the edge of the paper and also wrapped a 4” piece of lace around the paper so the user can hold the lace and not the paper. You can use any type of fabric, lace, and paper combination for the handle. I also glued on a few small buttons along the length of the handle for decoration.

Now take your foam ball and push your finished handle (the cut rough end) into the top of it. Push it down about 1” in depth. Now pull the handle out and place some Gorilla Glue in the hole and place the handle back in and let it dry.

Step 6:

Take your handle and wrap your ¼ yard of fabric or lace around the top and wrap an elastic band around the bottom of your foam ball.

Now that you have your dry handle and your dry flowers with wire stems……it’s time to assemble! I like to arrange my flowers by pushing the stems into the foam ball until I like the way it looks. Once I have arranged the flowers the way I want them to look I take my Gorilla Glue and cover the bottom of the stem. Be careful with the Gorilla Glue it expands when it dries and can be hard to work with, but it is the best glue for foam because it expands inside the foam and really becomes secure. Repeat this process and you have done it!

You just made a unique handmade bouquet that will last forever!

Are you planning a beach wedding? If so a shell bouquet could be an amazing choice for you. The great thing about non-floral bouquets is that you don’t have to worry about your bouquet dying or looking limp on your wedding day. It’s sad to me how much money we spend on wedding flowers and bouquets, only to have them die.

One things for sure – this bouquet will definitely bring the wow factor to a beach wedding!

Things You’ll Need:

Shells – $1.00 a Bag! So I totally got lucky and found a mixed bag of shells at Christmas Tree Shop for a $1.00 a bag! I almost screamed in the store when I found them!

4 ½ Diameter Foam Ball – $1.50

Scraps of Felt – $2 a Yard. Tip: I always save my felt and fabric scraps from all of my project because you never know when you will need them!

Fabric (I used Organza) $5.00 a Yard. For this project you will need less than a ¼ yard….about a 6-8” strip of fabric to wrap the base of your bouquet.

Sewing Pins with Pearl Heads – $3.00 a Box

Thumb tacks – $3.00 a Box. If you can find thumb tacks with a flat head and a long tack you are in business.

Dowels – $2.00 for a pack of 10 @ 12” long

Lace Trim – $0.40 a Yard

Buttons – $3.00 for a “lot” on EBay

Gorilla Glue – $5.00. I love Gorilla Glue and there is now a new formula that dries 2X faster and white! But always be super careful using it because it expands when it dries and can end up places you wouldn’t expect.

Optional – Spray Paint

Things You’ll Need From Home:

Hot Glue Gun. As you may know using generic hot glue doesn’t provide a very durable hold. If you find hot glue for foam, wood, and ceramic it is more durable.

Good Old Elmer’s Glue! I like to put a dab of Elmer’s glue along with the hot glue just to know it is going to get a good hold.

Pencil

Personal Touch. I had a pin/pendent that has a family photo from when I was 5 years old. I love this personal touch and it makes the bouquet extra special.

Step 1:

Make your handle. I took three 12” dowels that I cut into 6” lengths. You then glue each dowel together one by one with the hot glue gun. Before you glue the last dowel down glue down your lace trim. I cut my lace trim to be about 8” long to wrap around the handle. After gluing the last dowel down take an additional piece of lace and glue it to the ends of the dowels to cover the base of the handle. Now roll your handle so the lace is tight to the dowels and glue down the loose edges. On that seam of glue I glued down a few more shells and buttons from my random button collection.

Now figure out where the bottom of your foam ball will be and push the dowel handle making a hole in the foam. You can use Gorilla Glue to glue the handle down now or wait till after the bouquet is done. I waited because I wanted to sit the ball flat while I worked.

Step 2:

In my case the bags of shells I got were all different sizes and types, so I had to go through and collect all of one type which happened to be the Conckle shells. After doing so I cut strips of felt from scraps I had from other projects to about 2” lengths. I then glued the felt to the inside of each shell I wanted to use for the body of the bouquet. I also glued a thumb tack to the inside base of the shells so that there would be more surface for the shells to get glued into the foam ball. The more surface area you have on each shell that you can glue to the foam ball the more secure the shells will be. (NOTE: Only glue thumb tacks to the shells that will be the base shells – meaning the shells that will be glued directly to the foam. Other shells will be needed that have tabs only.)

Step 3:

Now that all your shells have felt tabs and some have tabs and thumb tacks…start pinning. Decide where you want your shells to start by the handle. Drawing a rough circle around where you want your shells to start will help you layer you shells evenly. Take your shells with thumb tacks and lay them out along the pencil line you drew. Using your sewing pins, pin each of the felt tabs down and for extra durability put a small drop of Gorilla Glue where you pin and then push the pin into the foam ball. Then take your glue gun and place a drop of hot glue on to the thumb tack and then also push that down into the foam ball. Follow this step for the first row of shells.

Step 4:

Pin down your second row of shells to alternate in-between the first row of shells but only pin them down. After doing so flip over row 2’s shells on their felt tabs and pin down intermediate shells which will fill in the two rows while row 2’s shells will cover the intermediate shells tabs.

Glue down row 2’s shells and then the intermediate shells on top of rows 1 & 2’s shells. When gluing the intermediate shells use the hot glue only where the shell will meet the shells in rows 1 & 2. You don’t want to have glue showing so be careful. I also used Elmer’s glue to fill in spots where I thought the shells could come apart. Doing this will also make the bouquet more stable.

Follow this method of alternating rows till you get to the top of your bouquet. This layers effect will create a denser more dynamic bouquet.

Step 5:

Making shell flowers. Take a scrap piece of felt and start laying out small shells to create a flower. In my case I used smaller Conckle shells and glued them top down onto the felt creating a flower. On top of the flower I glued another shell facing top up. Then I trimmed off the excess felt and had a little shell flower for the top of my bouquet. After I had 7 shell flowers I glued them on to the top of the bouquet.

Step 6:

Glue your handle into the hole you already made in the base of the foam ball if you have not already done so. Take your fabric of any color and cut a strip 6-8” in width. Depending on how full you want your fabric to be cut your strip wider or narrower. Don’t worry about how long the fabric is you can always fold another piece in to make it look like one continuous piece. Fold the fabric strip in half to hid any frayed edges and start pinning the fabric down and folding it at the base of the shells. Then do the same at the base of the handle. The fabric will cover the base of the foam ball and give a soft look to the bouquet.

Step 7:

Personal Touch! I happen to have a pendent pin with a family photo from when I was 5 years old. It just so happens to be the perfect touch for the bouquet and I just pinned it to the fabric at the base of my bouquet.

Step 8: Optional

Using spray paint, give your shells a smooth and uniform color!

The result is a unique beautiful bouquet with a personal touch. You can’t ask for much more!

Our savvy DIY go-to-girl, Danielle of DSMeeBee shows us how to make a chic handmade vintage brooch necklace in just 20 minutes.

I honestly made this necklace in 20 minutes and then felt really proud of myself. This necklace is so super easy to make it kind of blew my mind. On top of how easy it was to make, it only cost me about $10 and looks really beautiful. I’m so happy with it and I am considering wearing it for my wedding, but either way it will be a great go to piece for any girl’s jewellery box.

Things You’ll Need:

•	Vintage Rhinestone Brooch – $7. I got my brooch from EBay – not real vintage but looks great anyway.

•	Loose Pearls – $2. I also got my pearls from EBay and of course they are not real but I don’t really care about that (I just care about real diamonds!) I won my auction for $0.01 and paid $2.00 for shipping. Great deal!

•	Soft Flex Jewelry Wire – $0.50 a yard. I got my wire at Bead Works in Cambridge Mass. You can find this type of wire in any craft or bead store. You could probably use fishing line as well, but it won’t be as durable as the soft flex.

•	Crimp Beads – $1.50 for 10. These are essential because they are the best way to keep your beads in place.

•	Jewellery Clasp – $2.00 for 50. The jewellery clasps I got were from Michaels and they are great because they come with the pinch clasp and the loop that will connect the necklace together.

Things You’ll Need From Home:

•	Needle Nose Pliers

•	Scissors

•	Super Glue

Step 1:

Flip your brooch face down and super glue the pin closed. This is to secure your brooch from opening because the pin is where you will be connecting your pearl strands to.

Step 2:

String your loose pearls or beads onto the soft flex wire. Measure the length you want for your necklace. I used one strand 9 1/2” and the other 5 1/2” long because I wanted my brooch to be asymmetric. Take one of your strands and allow for an extra inch on each end. String on one of the crimp beads and wrap the flex wire around one end of the brooch pin. Loop the flex wire back into the backside of the crimp bead and when it is tight crimp it down with your needle nose pliers. On the other end of the pearl strand string on one of the crimp beads and the clasp, loop the flex wire back into the other side of the flex wire and don’t allow for much slack between the last pearl and the crimp bead. Once you feel the beads are secure crimp down on the crimp bead with your needle nose pliers. Repeat this on the other strand except instead of the stringing on the clasp, string on the jewelry connector that the clasp will connect into.

Step 3:

You’re done! The greatest part of this necklace is that you can totally change the design to custom fit your mood or change the style for different occasions. I love my quick and easy vintage pearl necklace and I hope you will love yours too! Also if you have a hip Mum or Grandmother with tons of costume jewellery grab one of their brooches and make your necklace an heirloom.

Let it be known – we love our brides!

It seriously blows our minds to see just how crafty and creative they can get and of course we certainly love hearing about how we helped. And the lovely bride, Emma, is certainly one of those brides. In the lead up to her wedding, she worked on loads of pretty DIY details. Here she explains….

“I just wanted to share with you how I used your website’s wonderful ideas for my wedding! I am so excited to have all these little touches everywhere on the day. I set up a mock table setting at home so I could see what it would look like. I have been collecting bottles from op shops and friends and family have been saving them for me too. I’ve also been saving crochet doilies (so cheap and so pretty) and I am planning to make (with help from my bridesmaids) the DIY ‘easy peasy string spheres’ to hang at the reception. Your website has been a constant source of inspiration and it is thanks to you that our wedding day is going to be that little bit more special.”

Aw shucks, thanks Emma, we’re blushing now!

And here are the gorgeous DIY creations by Emma.

This is a simple-ish birdcage veil tutorial. When I say simple-ish I mean this should be simple but for me getting the netting just right took longer than expected.

Items You’ll Need:

Small piece of felt or a stable piece of fabric – $ 0.50

Feathers – $2.00 from Michaels or craft store

Fabric Rose Clip – $1.00 from Forever 21 or you could make one, but come on a buck for a cute flower beats making one any day!

French or Russian Netting 9 inch at $4.00 per yard from Etsy. I had a really hard time finding this type of netting in my local Boston fabric stores so my next best bet was Etsy. You won’t need a whole yard but it might be good to have extra if you mess up.

Total Cost: $7.50 (WHAT! You can’t go wrong with that price!)

Items from home:

Scissors

Needle and Thread

Mirror

Glue Gun

Step 1: Cut the Netting

When you cut the netting use the factory edge as the edge that will sweep along your face. This edge should be what will be seen and the other sloppier edges will be tucked away so that they are less noticeable. Also be aware that wherever you cut the netting with scissors will look unfinished.

Step 2: Cut the Felt

I cut my felt into a leaf shape with the length at about 4″ long. This will be the base that you glue your feathers onto and sew the netting onto as well.

Step 3: Glue on the Feathers

Take the leaf shaped felt and start hot gluing feathers on to it. Fan them out the way you want them to look and leave the tip completely open so you can have an area to sew the netting onto.

Step 4: Fit / Shape / Sew the Netting

Take the non factory side of the netting and fold the netting as shown in the photos below. Then sew the folded netting to the felt base. This is the tricky part. I found it best to sit in front of a mirror and actually shape the netting on my head the way I wanted it to look. Keep repeating this method till you get the shape you desire.

Step 5: Clip the Veil into Place

I got a store bought rose from Forever 21 which already was attached to a hair clip. So this step took me about 5 seconds to do. I simply took the veil placed in my hair where I wanted it to be and clipped it in with my rose hair clip.

Step 6: Look Chic

If you make this veil right no one will know it cost less than $10! You can say you got it at a fancy bridal store and keep the price to yourself or brag about how savvy your are…like I did!

Today Danielle of DSMeeBee shares how to make a wonderfully original DIY replica wedding cake topper.

What You’ll Need:

2 Wooden Eggs – craft store $1.50 each

2 Wooden Balls with Flat Bottoms – craft store $ 0.75 each

Pearl Stickers – craft store $2.99

Acrylic Paints – craft store $5 for a set of 12 colors

Set of Small Paint Brushes – craft store $3 for a set of 5

Netting for the veil- craft store $2.99 for a large pack

Black of felt or black paper – had at home

Buttons – had at home

Items You’ll Need From Home:

Drill with a 1/16” wood drill bit

Elmers Glue

Scissors

Glue Gun

Q-Tip

Black Felt Marker

Step 1:

Drill a hole at the top of the wooden egg where the wooden head will be placed. Be careful to not put to much pressure on the drill, not to let the drill slip and hurt your hand. If you feel more comfortable place the egg in a vice and then drill the top. The hole at the top of the egg should be about a ¼” deep.

Step 2:

The egg heads that I got from a craft store had flat bottoms. The flat bottom has a small pre-drilled hole in it. But if you can not find wooden balls with pre-drilled flat bottoms then you must drill a hole yourself. Again using a vice will help you avoid injury.

Step 3:

Cut the ends off the Q-Tip and stick one end into the hole you drilled in the wooden egg body with some Elmers glue. Then put the other end of the Q-Tip into the pre-drilled hole of the wooden head. Keep cutting the bottom of the Q-Tip till it is the correct length and the wooden head sits nicely on the top of the egg. Put a dab of hot glue around the edge of the egg’s hole. Then put some Elmers glue into the wooden head then place it onto the egg and firmly press down. The hot glue will help stabilize the head faster so you can continue working with out waiting for the Elmers glue to dry.

Step 4:

Paint the bodies and heads of the toppers. For my groom I did a traditional tuxedo painting the egg all back except for a white “V” that represented his tux shirt. For the bride I painted her egg body with an ivory color and used the skin color to make the dress appear to be sweetheart dress. For the hair I used brown paint and tried to mimic the hair styles my Fiancé and I would wear on our wedding day. Note: Don’t be afraid to mess up….you can always whip off what you don’t like or paint over it. For the eyes you can paint them or try to draw them in with the black marker. Since I LOVE eyeliner I drew my eyeliner on my bride.

Step 5:

Details!!!! I used pearl stickers for details like the bride‘s earrings and detail on her dress, which I think made a huge difference. I used buttons for my bouquet which I glued together with the hot glue gun and then glued directly to the egg body of the bride. I also used a button for the groom’s boutonnière. I used a flower button and a small piece of netting to make a bride cage veil for the bride. For the groom’s bow tie I cut out of a piece of felt and hot glued it on to the groom’s egg body.

Step 6:

Enjoy your unique toppers and don’t forget to get loads of photos with them!

Today Danielle of DSMeeBee shares her fun DIY bridal eye mask tutorial, which is bound to ensure lots of well rested brides.

The night before the big wedding the bride needs her beauty sleep, right? This is a quick fun tutorial that will be a cute gift for any bride.

Items You’ll Need:

Satin $5 a yard

Felt $1 per sheet

13” of elastic $0.50. I used a lace ribbon elastic.

Eye Mask Template – (Print portrait layout for best results)

Fabric Flower Ribbon $2 a yard

Items From Home:

Scissors

Thin Marker

Optional:

Brother SE 400 (Sewing and Embroidery Machine) $365. Best machine EVER!!! It’s expensive but totally worth it!

Step 1:

Note that if you don’t have a Brother SE 400 you can start at step 2.

Put the felt and the satin in the embroidery bed and place it into the embroidery arm of the Brother machine. Choose what you would like to write on the front of the mask and program it into your Brother SE 400.

Step 2:

Use the eye mask template to cut out two pieces of satin and one piece of felt. Make sure to draw the two outlines on the fabric as illustrated in the template, as you’ll need to sew along the inner line. Then cut the elastic ribbon to a 13” length strip.

Step 3:

Place the piece of satin which will be the top facing up on top of the felt if it is not already sewn together. Place the piece of satin that will be the backside of the mask facing satin side down on top of the top piece of satin. Pin the three pieces of fabric together making sure you pin the elastic in-between the two pieces of satin. So when you turn the mask inside-out the elastic will be sewn into each side of the mask.

Step 4:

Sew the edges of the mask on the inner line you drew from the eye mask template. Leaving a hole large enough to turn the mask inside-out.

Step 5:

Turn the mask inside-out, pin the remaining hole together and sew it closed. I used a zig zag stitch for the outside edge of the eye mask. Then hand stitch the fabric flowers onto one corner of the mask.

Step 6:

Get some serious beauty rest and look refreshed for your big day!

What You’ll Need

Miniature wrapped dark chocolates. We used yummy meiji dark chocolate blocks, but you could also use large sized bars.

Pretty wrapping paper

Aluminium foil

Glitter

Double-sided tape

Scissors

Ruler

Pencil

Directions

Cut a square of aluminium foil and place 5 miniature chocolate blocks inside. Wrap and secure the chocolate blocks with the aluminium foil.

Then measure and cut your wrapping paper into strips, the size of your strips will depend on the size of your chocolate bars. Leave some of the silver aluminium foil showing on the ends of the bars.

Wrap the paper strips around the bars and secure at the back with double-sided tape.

Finally, you can leave you’re pretty bars as is or you can decorate them with some glitter glue to add a touch of sparkle.

Simple but Charming, right?

What You’ll Need

Fresh or Faux Pas Flowers. We chose to use faux pas flowers.

Floral Foam.

Vintage Teacup and Saucer.

Scissors.

Directions For Faux Pas Flowers

Purchase floral foam that will fit snugly into your teacup or trim floral foam to size.

Next, trim the flower stems to size and arrange trimmed flowers in teacup, poking stems into the foam.

Directions For Fresh Flowers

Poke holes in the top of the floral foam to allow water to soak through better. Place the floral foam in a bowl of water and tape down so it doesn’t float up. Make sure water gets into the holes you poked. Allow the foam to soak for approximately an hour. Note that the more water the foam absorbs, the longer the flowers will last.

Next, arrange trimmed flowers in teacup, poking stems into the foam.
