Wedding Accessories By Jannie Baltzer 22.11.2011

What lovely creations from Jannie Baltzer!

This Danish fashion designer is a self-confessed sucker for weddings. Having graduated from the Scandinavian Academy of International Fashion and Design in Copenhagen, Jannie then received an honorary prize from Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte for the most creative fashion collection in the country.

Her wedding inspiration comes from eras past: in particular the early 1900s’ French Bohemianism, and the Art Deco movement and the 1920s celebrity glamour of Hollywood. Handcrafted from her studio in Copenhagen, Jannie’s headpieces are made from such luxurious materials as French and Edwardian lace, silk, and soft chiffon.

Andria Bird Wedding Accessories 07.11.2011

Pretty, pretty, pretty…

Andria Bird wedding accessories make us sigh and think of dreamy garden weddings on a perfect cloudy day. Andi Sperl, the owner and designer, taught college for a year after graduating with a degree in elementary and special education. But her dream was really to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York—and like so many bold souls that finally go for their dream, study she did.

She left Boston, took her dog with her, and got a tiny apartment in Manhattan for her new home, all in the name of fashion. We’re so lucky that Andi decided to become a fashion designer—else these charming Andria Bird wedding accessories wouldn’t exist!

We especially love the delicate boho touches within the collection. Take a look at some of our favorites.

Rene Walrus Wedding Accessories 02.11.2011

We love anything that’s pretty and sparkles.

And just like Janet McCrorie, founder and creative director of Rene Walrus, we love anything to do with weddings. Throughout college at Edinburgh College of Art, she sold her handmade wedding accessories at first to family and friends, and then to shops and department stores. In 2005, a year after she graduated, she opened her own boutique in Edinburgh; she then set up her online shop in 2010.

Janet has worked with brides all over the world from New York to Australia, and for her, Rene Walrus has always been a labour of love. All their pieces can be custom-made in the colour of your choice to suit your wedding theme. They also create special bespoke designs for the bride who has something more personal in mind.

Here is the Rene Walrus Romantic Collection…
