We’ve decided to end the week with some gorgeous vintage wedding inspiration photographed by Jamie Delaine Photography in British Columbia, Canada. The vision for the shoot was to show that one simple inexpensive dress could be accessorised to create three totally different looks.
Jamie explained the story behind the shoot, “I was in Vancouver a couple of months ago at a vintage clothing store and found [an] amazing dress for $30. I bought it, not knowing what I would do with it or which one of my friends would be tiny enough to fit into it. My beautiful friend Leanne fit the dress perfectly and we decided a knee-length hem would fit the vision for the shoot more accurately than the original floor-length.
We literally had a car stuffed full of accessories and shoes and hats and boots and props. I love the three different looks we came up with, although I was partial to the last one and love the black elements. The first one is very sweet, country girl with a twist, the second really fun and asian-inspired and the third dressy dramatic.
Most of the accessories were borrowed from friends and a lot of the pieces are my grandmothers. However, Leanne’s lace headband is from H&M, blue shoes from Spring, faux fur wrap from Old Navy, black clutch from House of Delovely.”
The soft and oh-so-natural makeup was by Kristy Lee, while the delicate flowers were crafted by Jeanette of Delovely Creative.
