TOMS Wedding Shoes | One Stylish Bride – Ultimate Wedding Ideas

TOMS Wedding Shoes14.11.2011

Ever thought about a socially responsible wedding?

With TOMS, you can have one. You can celebrate your new life with your partner and “donate” shoes to children who desperately need them. For every pair of wedding shoes you purchase, TOMS gives a pair to a child in need. Swell idea, right?

How did all this shoe-giving idea begin? Blake Mycoskie traveled to Argentina in 2006 and saw that the children there were living a barefoot existence—they were sick, could not go to school, and therefore could not realize their potential. He then set out to reinvent the traditional Argentine shoe called alpargata for the US market and created TOMS, a company committed to matching every pair of shoes ever sold with a new pair given to a child living in poverty. And today, TOMS gives not just to Argentinean children, but to kids in many different countries.

As of Septemeber 2010, because of the overwhelming support from their customers, TOMS has given over one million pairs of new shoes to children in need around the world.

This is a truly amazing way to help out and give people who need our help. And TOMS wedding shoes are so stylish, classy, and fun, you’ll be so excited to wear them on your big day!
