The Team
One Stylish Bride was founded by Marcela Christy and Michael Kenneth, a husband and wife team. Today One Stylish Bride consists of many talented employees, many of whom have more than 5 years of wedding and website industry experience. The team consists of professionals who take pride in their work and their ability to find creative solutions for connecting brides and vendors.

Meet ‘Editor’ Marcela
Tell us about yourself and why you co-founded One Stylish Bride: I love all things pretty – which includes weddings, photography, flowers, fashion, cakes, crafts, styling and decor. I also love wedding planning, writing and editing.
It’s these loves that lead me to this role and business. And boy am I lucky, because I love the process of helping brides plan their weddings, searching for fabulous wedding inspiration, the process of editing content, writing posts, and going through all the gorgeous submissions.
When I’m not working as the Editor here at One Stylish Bride, I’m usually being active, hunting for treasures at the markets, meeting up for coffee with friends, reading a book, or catching up on all of my favourite blogs.
Why is One Stylish Bride geared towards the Australian Bride: I grew up in Australia (Bondi Beach, Sydney) and I married in Queensland, so it seemed appropriate to gear the site towards the Australian bride and Aussie wedding vendors. That said, I have also lived aboard and called Hong Kong home, so I love featuring wedding inspiration from all over the world.
What have been your greatest achievements with One Stylish Bride: Growing and developing the site. We now receive over 2 million page views per month.
Also, 2011 led us to receive an honourable mention as young entrepreneurs by Anthill’s 30 under 30 Entrepreneurs, which was a lovely surprise.
We were also very flattered to be featured in the June 2011 issue of Cleo magazine as the “wedding expert” in an article titled “Wedding Gurus”.
What’s your favourite wedding theme: I love the vintage wedding theme and the idea that old items can become new again with this theme.
What’s your favourite colour combination: I adore a simple black and white colour combination. But I’m also currently smitten with pastel colour combinations because they’re so delicate and romantic.
What’s your favourite wedding flower: Pretty peonies! But I also love roses and carnations because they’re vibrant, chic, and beautiful all at the same time.
What’s your favourite honeymoon destination: Parie the city of love or breathtaking Bora Bora.
Marcela is an Australian that holds journalism and legal qualifications. She is obsessed with reading, writing and weddings. Her role consists of being the Weddings Ideas’ head honcho, directing content, commissioning features, editing content, writing daily posts, managing the editorial team, and the reviewing of all incoming emails and submissions.
