Pimp Your Nails

There are pretty manicures and then there are crazy pretty manicures. What we’re showing you today falls into the latter category.

Realistically not every bride and her posse can rock these looks. Nor does every bride and her maids want to, but for those that wish to veer away from the standard French manicure, you’re in for a visual treat.

These are a few of our favourite ways to switch things up in the nail department.

The Vintage Bow Tie

You know what’s always been hard to find? Fancy vintage bow ties.

Good news. Things are changing, thanks to a few bow-tie loving individuals.

One of those individuals is Necks Tuesday, which makes bow ties that look deceptively Vintage although not authentically so. These bow ties are made in New York with each design only released in limited quantities. We love the exclusivity of it all!

Here are a few of our favourites from Necks Tuesday

We’re also digging Bow Ties By Talia, which are perfect for those looking for Australian produced vintage bow ties. These bow ties are handmade at Talia’s house and can be made to match any outfit.

Here’s a few Bow Ties By Talia that we’re utterly fond of…

We seriously love the revival of an old facet of traditional menswear.

Cheery Wedding Stamps

Rubber stamps. I’m sure that for some, a rubber stamp reminds them of business. But for us, a rubber stamp reminds us of cheery wedding art.

That’s why we desperately want some of these Ann Marie Loves Paper stamps. They’re simply perfect for stamping all sorts of wedding stationery pieces.

The designer behind these stamps is Ann Marie, a self-confessed lover of paper. She says, “You could even say that I’ve built my life around it. When I’m not working at my dream job as a scrap booker/graphic designer, I am journaling, list-making, organizing, hoarding, crafting, and scrapbooking some more with – you guessed it – paper.”

This love of paper has manifested into a love of stamps.

Here are some of her lovely creations. She can also make custom stamps.
