Riverside Hotel Wedding {Kristen + Will}

This wedding goes all out with romantic vintage details and glamorous ambiance.

Kristen and Will tied the knot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. The ceremony was followed by their reception at the Riverside Hotel located on the bustling street of Las Olas. The couple chose to fill their reception with fabulous pink lighting, beautiful multicolour centerpieces, candles, and pretty linens.

Sophisticated Wedding {Megan + Jason}

This wedding is aesthetically beautiful, sleek, elegant and joyful.

Megan and Jason wed in British Columbia, Canada and chose to have a sophisticated Black, White, Cranberry, and Carrot Orange colour scheme.

Megan explains what made her wedding unique, “The modern and vintage fusion theme that I envisioned [and] the modern colours and flowers mixed with vintage pieces that accented the entire wedding. [Also] the love that went into every detail that we planned and created really showed throughout the day – the cake, dress, men’s attire, invitations, and guest seating chart. [Also our] wedding day is on the same weekend that my Parents and both sets of Grandparents share their anniversaries on. It was so special to share ‘their day’ with them.”

The couple also included unique handmade details. “My Mother and I created the guest-seating chart on an antique window that came from a house down the road from us that was built in 1928. We also found the mantel that was featured in our reception at a bent nail store in Chilliwack BC that we antiqued and restored. I also hand painted the ‘Just Married’ sign and my mother-in-law hand sewed it together for us to have at the reception. I [even] made and put together a Bridesmaid Emergency kit that contained mouthwash, nail files, bobby pins, Advil, and Band Aids,” says Megan.

What was your favourite moment?

“Our favourite moment of the day was to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. The rush of excitement and pure joy that bursts from inside you has never been so thrilling. It is a moment that will never leave my mind or heart. To see it again on film after the wedding brought all those same feelings inside, we are so glad that Melody was able to capture the moment for us.”

What was your biggest challenge?

“The biggest challenge was planning the seating arrangements. Our two families sat down together one night before the wedding and placed everyone around each table. To say that this was a challenge is an understatement. To figure out where 210 individuals are going to sit and whom they are going to sit beside is way harder than it sounds.

Jason was there to help me with every decision, which helped my mother [and I] remain calm throughout the entire planning process. This wedding and marriage would not have happened if I did not have my best friend there beside me every day supporting and guiding me along the way.”

What’s your advice?

“Have a binder with all receipts, business cards, and contacts and plans in one spot. I carried around a big white binder from the day we were engaged to the night before the wedding. It never left my side; I never lost anything or forgot anything. I would also remind other brides to stay in the moment, and do not let the day pass you by. Jason and I took a couple moments throughout the day to stand aside and spend time with our guests and watch everyone enjoy the evening.”

Congratulations Megan and Jason. Your wedding pictures are simply brilliant.
