Sydney Harbour Engagement {Roxy + Diego}

Roxy was born in South Africa. Diego was born in Columbia. They now call Australia home. Aren’t they the sweetest combo?

Roxy and Diego are now on the road to getting hitched and held their engagement session at Sydney Harbour. Talented Jamie Delaine Photography captured the session and had this to say…

“Roxy and Diego are an adorable couple. Roxy is a travel agent by day, but currently studying interior design. Diego is a sound engineer and musician. Designer/musician couples? Just my thing.

We took a ferry across the harbour, photographing on the way despite the crazy wind. That made for fun times balancing and sad attempts at controlling our hair. Next up was a ride on the ferris wheel at Luna Park. I loved all the colours everywhere in the amusement park.

Finally, Roxy’s parents met up with us to deliver their adorable spoodle named Lola for the last few photos. So fun.”

Kentucky Wedding {Rachel + Nathan}

How fabulous is Rachel and Nathan’s wedding? The couple wed in Kentucky at First Baptist Church and then held their reception at Eva J Hawes Community Building. The couple and their family put so much thought and effort into their wedding that the result is truly unique.

Rachel remarks “I’m a DIY type of person so I wanted to be very ‘hands-on’ for my wedding. So with the help of my sister and mum, we made basically everything from the invitations to programs to the candy favor bags and even the decorations.”

Rachel went about her wedding planning by getting “Many of my ideas from pictures I found on different wedding websites and blogs. The cake stand was actually made by my bother-in-law and was used in his and my sister’s wedding as well. I didn’t have a wedding planner instead, I had a binder full of ideas, tips, tricks, and wedding vendors, which I had gathered on my own or were found by my sister.”

“I tried to make my and Nathan’s special day, as special as possible. At the end of the day, I married my best friend and nothing could have topped that,” says Rachel.

Noosa Picnic Engagement {Matthieu + Tara}

Isn’t there something wonderfully romantic about a secluded picnic for two?

Matthieu and Tara chose to have a beach picnic engagement session in Noosa. Tara explained the choice, “We wanted something casual which represented our everyday lives. We spend hours at the beach, love to picnic and listen to and play music so it was just perfect.”

Matthieu also proposed over a romantic picnic. Tara recalls, “Matthieu had organised a romantic picnic on a secluded headland overlooking my favourite beach where I grew up. We had been together for over five years when he proposed, but his proposal completely took me by surprise and that made it really special.”

“The picnic consisted of tasty French snacks and bubbly champagne and Matthieu sang songs to me while playing along on his guitar.”
