“Felicia and Timothy met in college, hence we decided on a vintage styled ‘Back to School’ theme. The venue was a school turned into an art gallery and theatre, called aptly ‘Old School’! The idea behind this photo shoot was to bring out their childhood, with items they kept from school days such as Old Maids playing cards, the oh-so-familiar recorders they used in school, and even a mini chalkboard. We wanted to keep the photo shoot simple, natural and fun! We had a fun-filled afternoon playing games, and capturing their special moments at the same time.”

And just like that, another week has come and gone.

First up, we absolutely fell in love with this ‘Donut Themed Wedding Shower’ spotted over at A Beautiful Mess Blog.

We’re also smitten with this ‘Homemade Wedding Cake’ tutorial featured on Project Wedding. Boy they make it look easy!

Lastly, we’re seriously digging this ‘Alternative Guestbook’ wedding idea featured on Casa Sugar. Basically, assign each table a different anniversary year and let the guests at each table write notes to be opened on that anniversary year. Fab, right!

These wedding pictures are full of rustic ranch charm, gorgeous details, and even a pretty rainbow. What more could we ask for!

Erika of Element Photography lovingly captured all the wedding pictures and here’s what she had to say about the charming Canadian wedding…

“Mitch and Michelle selected Arosa Guest Ranch to host their wedding celebration. A tranquil setting nestled in the rolling hills atop Anarchist Mountain with gorgeous panoramic views. [The location] has special significance to them – Fritz estates the former property of his grandfather, lovingly remembered as ‘Bumpa’ surrounds the ranch area.

We took advantage of Bumpa’s property for Mitch and Michelle’s first look [and] photos wrapped up just as raindrops started to sprinkle. [The raindrops were] just a tease though, as the sky cleared up for a bright and beautiful outdoor ceremony.

But Mother Nature can be crazy and wasn’t quiet finished with us just yet! Everyone was tucked away in the white tent surrounded by gorgeous details, as the sky opened up and the rain showers came down. Propane heaters were lit, guest changed out of summery dresses and into their tights, woolies, camo and plaid. We cuddled up under blankets and listened to the stories of Mitch and Michelle. They were roasted and toasted and laughter filled the tent!

It was just before the speeches began the sky cleared momentarily and a bright beam of sunlight pierced through the clouds. Ah, a perfect double rainbow arched over the valley for all to see. A sign of a promise for the newlyweds!”
