Elora Centre For The Arts {Rebecca + Benoit}

We seem to have a little soft spot for vintage weddings, so we were super thrilled when Renaissance Studios Photography sent over Rebecca and Benoit’s modern vintage wedding.

Rebecca and Benoit were married in an intimate vintage wedding at the Elora Centre for the Arts, in Ontario. The venue is best described as a retro-fitted gallery in an old school house!

We love the colour scheme of this wedding, which was cherry red and tiffany blue. We also can’t get enough of the bride’s stylish tea length wedding dress and pouf veil. *heavenly combo*

Rebecca and Beniot’s wedding photos are chic, ooze glamour, and make for perfect eye candy on a hectic Monday afternoon.

The Ledges (Amanda + Danny)

Happy Monday! If you love gorgeous details, you’re going to love Amanda and Danny’s wedding because it’s full of elegant and modern details. Their fabulous wedding photos were captured by Gideon Photography.

Amanda and Danny were married on the 20th of March 2010 at The Ledges which is located in St George, Utah, United States. The stunning venue is actually a golf club and spa with beyond amazing surroundings!

The couple went with a striking green and brown colour palette, which suited the landscape and surroundings perfectly. The wedding details were then pulled together by Forevermore Events, with flowers by Bloomers.

Our favourite detail is the fun concept of bringing the indoors to the outdoors with the chic white couches, coffee table, and a chandelier. A little out of the box, but oh-so-chic.

Wedding Trends We’re Lovin

Here’s some lovable wedding trends…from cute shoe ideas to wedding reception ideas!

Comfy Flats – Throw out the heels because it’s currently on trend for brides and bridesmaids to wear colourful and comfy flats. We’ve even started to spot a lot of brides wearing pretty glittery flats.

Colourful Drink– Lots of couples are getting creative with their beverages and using coloured drink straws, cocktail flags, wedding drink stirrers, and non-alcoholic colourful soda. We love this trend becuase it adds a splash of colour to wedding decor!

Photo Booths – The photo booth trend is definitely one of the cutest, bringing a little cheeky humour to your wedding. A bold and bright pattern as the photobooth backdrop will also make for a really fun statement.

Low Centerpieces – Low and lush centerpieces are gaining popularity fast. Not only do they tend to be more affordable, they can also make a big impact when teamed with pretty candles.

Cake Buffets – Can’t pick a wedding cake? Well with a wedding cake buffet, these really no need to. What I love most about this trend is that when it comes to cake flavors and designs, the sky’s the limit. You can have everything you want….carrot cakes, banana cake, triple chocolate cake, pink champagne cake and the list can go on and on until your heart and tummy is content. Yum.

Choreographed Dances – More and more couples are putting together a choreographed fun first dance, which opens the dance floor to your guests in a fun way.

Themed Engagement Photo Shoots – Lots of coupes are getting all dolled up to fit a theme and using props for their engagement shoots. The wonderful advantage of doing a themed engagement shoot is that you can use the photos for your save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, or as part of your wedding decor.

That said, the biggest trend of all remains the inclusion of “personal touches”. So as long as you personalise your wedding, you basically can’t go wrong.

Editors Note: We’ve received a lot of inquires about the above pictured ballerina flats and where they can be purchased in Australia. The pictured flats are actually from all over the world, but what we love most about ballerina flats is that they can be found in pretty much all shoe boutiques. Some of our favourites are from Sambag, which stock some seriously stunning flats.
