These wedding photos captured by Melissa McFadden Photography are better than bacon and eggs on a Sunday morning.
The fabulous couple, Jodi and Benjamin, were married at Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, Washington. The couple chose a vineyard theme wedding, which they executed to perfection. They used purples and greens to accent the decor and attire, grapes in their centerpieces, grapevine napkin rings, and adorable wine wedding favors with engagement photo labels.
The stunning bride was kind enough to share a few details with us, which you’ll find after the charming wedding photos.
What made your wedding unique: “Location! My family is from a small town in Iowa, and his family is from Seattle. It was a nice neutral location for everyone, as well as our favorite place to go wine tasting! The entire guest list was from out-of-town. We had people travel from all over the world including London and Amsterdam to the quaint little wine town of Walla Walla. It was a great excuse to explore Washington wine country for many.”
Your biggest challenge: “I think planning the wedding long distance was our biggest challenge. We didn’t have any referrals or contacts for vendors. Also, being an interior designer doesn’t help the situation. I am super detail oriented and kind of OCD. I was so worried about all the little details that it took me a lot more time than I expected. I could have spent a lot of money on decorations too, but instead did a lot of DIY to save.”
Your favorite moment: “My favorite moment was seeing Ben for the first time that day. I was so overwhelmed with unexpected emotion that I was shaking and speechless. I get all choked up thinking about that moment, even today.”
Your advice: “Hire a videographer! The speeches, vows, readings and music are all memories that will quickly fade. We didn’t hire anyone, but our good family friends surprised us at Christmas with the video they had captured throughout the day. It was the best gift we have ever received!”
