Engagement Photos
Hi Friends, we {Marcela and Michael} recently did our engagement shoot and the photos below are the result. Yes that’s yours truly frolicking in the park!
Our engagement shoot was held in a gorgeous park in Nundah, Brisbane Australia and was photographed by the talented team that is Jess and Steve of Jess Marks Photography.
The theme behind the engagement shoot was “you’re the apple of my eye” and was styled by mwa.
We had a total blast doing this mock picnic; especially with our 500 props! Go us!

Chess Hong Kong style! This antique chess set was actually purchased in Hong Kong by Michael’s mother, some 30 years ago when she lived there. Being that we now live in Hong Kong, it certainly seemed fitting for us to use the chess set during our engagement picnic.

Below are a few of our favourite books, from Michael’s aviation books to my arts and crafts books.

Strike a pose…there’s nothing to it!

Balancing act!

Here’s our video, enjoy!

Flower wedding favors

I’m really smitten with this adorable flower wedding favor idea spied at Post Cards & Pretties. All you need to do is make up little flower bunches and wrap them in paper, then display them in buckets. Who would of thought that paper cones filled with farmers market flowers could look so bloody good! For the full tutorial head over to Post Cards & Pretties.

Wedding cupcakes

What is it about cupcakes that automatically turns sophisticated adults in to excited little kids? God knows they get me every time, my latest obsession is Sprinkle cupcakes, which is located all around the USA.
What I love most about them is their awesome flavour combinations such as ginger lemon, chai latte, spiced pumpkin, and peanut butter chip. Can you say Yum…now those flavors are sure to satisfy your inner 5 year old!

Carnival theme wedding pictures
Today’s real wedding couple, Jenna and Tommy, opted for a retro carnival theme. Their inspiration was that of a 1950’s carnival complete with carousel, penny candy and popcorn {pretty cool}!
Jenna and Tommy were married in Providence, RI in Roger Williams Park and their talented photographer was Olivia of Olivia Gird Photography. I’m seriously going bonkers for this wedding and the ink!

Thank you Olivia for sharing your gorgeous wedding pictures. Blessings, Jenna and Tommy!
